Introduced in the mid-Fifties, the Kalimar Reflex was the first 6x6 SLR with a true instant-return mirror, and its 52mm lens was the first medium-format retrofocus wide-angle. The camera didn't get much respect, but the 52mm lens became popular with an adaptor for use on the Hasselblad 1000F.
